Overview

Thorong Peak (6,144 m) is one of Nepal’s lesser-known trekking peaks, rising above the famous Thorong La Pass in the Annapurna region. Combining the classic Annapurna Circuit with a Himalayan summit ascent, this expedition offers an excellent introduction to high-altitude mountaineering for trekkers seeking something beyond a standard trekking adventure.

The route follows the Annapurna Circuit through traditional mountain villages and high Himalayan landscapes before establishing a high camp for the summit attempt. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with breathtaking views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna, and the vast Tibetan Plateau.

Unlike Nepal’s more crowded trekking peaks, Thorong Peak remains relatively untouched, providing a quieter and more adventurous climbing experience..
